JOB DESCRIPTION

A leading hedge fund is seeking a junior- mid level trading support analyst to work closely with its traders, development teams, researchers, and quants within its equities and options trading teams. You will be overseeing and making upgrades as needed to operational infrastructure. This role is multi faceted and versatile- the successful candidate will be working with infrastructure, as well as acting as a liaison with various users and counterparties as well as other technologists within the group, so excellent communication is key for this role.

Responsibilities include some Linux/Unix engineering, scripting in Bash, Perl, or Python. You will not be responsible for around the clock support. This role is for an ambitious technologist dedicated to ensuring top quality service and making a tangible improvement to the group's trading floor. This is a front office role that demands an attitude that is always willing to learn and improve

Location: New York, USA

Requirements:

• 3-6 Years experience in a trading, applications, or desktop support function in real time

• Experience in development, ability to code in C/C++ preferred

• Familiar in a Linux/Unix environment or Windows XP/7/Server

• Strong scripting ability- Perl, Python, Bash (1+ years professional experience_

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly within applications an systems

• Previous experience in a financial institution much preferred
