Job Description

The Institutional and Private Client outsourcing team is dedicated to providing front-, middle- and back-office solutions to the investment management industry. Primary responsibilities include trade communication and settlement, analysis of processed transactions that have occurred within the trading system, Moxy, and or the portfolio accounting system, Geneva, problem solving by researching activity and interacting with a variety of clients, brokers, custodians and system vendors. Position requires ability to work in a very fast-paced environment while meeting all application daily deadlines; excellent communication and computer skills. The ideal candidate will have buy-side investment management experience dealing with multiple asset classes in a global environment. Experience with Lightspeed TDMS, Markit and/or Advent Geneva is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the trade matching, confirmation, affirmation and settlement process between investment managers clients, their counterparties and their custodians or prime brokers

• Ensure custodians, prime brokers, fund administrators and interested parties are notified in a timely manner of all investment manager client trade activity

• Coordinate accurate account and broker delivery instructions with client trading departments and vendor applications

• Monitor and manage failed trades, working with counterparties and custodians / prime brokers to resolve trade fails in a timely manner

• Strictly adhere to established departmental processing procedures and controls

• Follow appropriate escalation procedures

• Review and resolve differences relating to intra-system reconciliations

• Monitor accounts' daily trade activity for potential issues and communicate a resolution to the necessary party

• Communicate workflow information/issues to our investment manager clients

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in accounting or related field

• 5+ years experience in US and non-US trade settlements including experience with alternative instrument types, e.g., OTC options, swaps, bank debt

• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience

• Demonstrate the ability to allocate time and resources appropriately to complete projects and meet deadlines

• Understand clients' business model and sensitivities

• Ability to take control of situations and personnel to ensure all objectives and deadlines are met to the clients' satisfaction

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
