Responsibilities
As Commercial Loan Analyst/Paralegal you will be responsible for preparing commercial mortgage loan applications and drafting specific language for unusual situations. You will support the Commercial Mortgage Loan Underwriters and Portfolio Managers on commercial loan closings, mortgage contract issues, policies, procedures and communications. This includes reviewing mortgage legal documents for all types of transactions processed by the Real Estate Loan Investment Team including new loans, transfers, modifications and problem/loan workouts. You will also interface with outside special legal counsel on the various aspects of loan documentation and legal issues. Perform the following duties:

* Prepare and draft commercial mortgage loan applications/commitments.

* Manage the closing process of new commercial loans

* Assist in maintaining current set of standard application and loan documents

* Work with our network of outside legal counsel and commercial mortgage bankers to ensure quality and successful application and legal processes.

* Complete special projects and participate in various department initiatives as assigned

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor-s degree; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or substantial experience in commercial mortgage loans or real estate.

* Excellent and proven writing skills

* Ability to work in fast paced environment while managing multiple demands

* Proven MS WORD and EXCEL skills, merge list experience helpful

* Highly motivated and organized and positive team work attitude

* Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills

* Ability to work effectively with minimal direction and recognize when to escalate issues, work independently, and meet tight deadlines

* Strong attention to detail with high standards for accuracy
