Responsibilities
Corporate Services, which is comprised of Business Resilience, Corporate Security, Procurement, and Property is one of the three large scale functions in Business Services next to Operations and Technology Services. It is a global team with people working in more than 30 countries. In the Americas, there are more than 350 colleagues working together to be the business behind the business for RBS Citizens Financial Group.
The Relationship Manager will manage the strategic relationships between Corporate Services Americas and one of the primary RBS Americas business lines or support functions (Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking, Business Services, Group Central Functions, or Markets and International Banking. This individual will represent all areas of CS, and accordingly must have a broad understanding of the CS functions and strong relationships with senior managers in CS. Equally, this person must develop strong relationships with senior executives in the business line and possess the ability to influence key leaders through presentation skills, communications, and understanding the business.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to): - Delivering business value via the CS functions to the RBS Americas business / functions we support
- Developing a range of strategies that promote a positive application of CS tailored solutions to assist the business in achieving their business objectives
- Providing the business with a central liaison point into Corporate Services and when required wider departments
- Providing all levels of the business with a key conduit into CS and in doing so offering a consultative service that adds considerable client value and maximizes effectiveness of the CS and business partnership
- Effectively managing inter- business communication to ensure that it is understood and cascaded at all levels
- Striving to understand the present and strategic needs of the business / function, this Relationship Manager will proactively contribute and deliver a range of CS solutions tailored to deliver client objectives within targeted deadlines
- Shaping an innovative CS strategy that ensures the needs of CS and its business partners are represented
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience: - Proven track record of delivering medium/large/complex projects to exacting cost, time and quality measurements
- Strong interpersonal, communicating and influencing skills at all levels within a large matrix environment
- Demonstrated experience of developing strong senior relationships with key decision makers and delivering personally or through matrix management
- Experience with direct people management responsibility
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills/Experience: - A thorough understanding of Corporate Services functions is preferred
- An understanding of CS systems and processes is preferred
- A displayed knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology preferred
Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials: - Bachelors Degree required
