Position Description:
Morgan Stanley Investment Management, together with its investment advisory affiliates, has 563 investment professionals around the world and $338 billion in assets under management or supervision as of December 31, 2012. MSIM strives to provide outstanding long-term investment performance, service and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to a diverse client base, which includes governments, institutions, corporations and individuals worldwide.
As a member of the Registered Investment Advisors (RIA)/Bank Trust sales team, this individual will be responsible for effectively communicating MSIM's product offerings to current and prospective clients. They will be involved in coordinating due diligence meetings and conference calls and will maintain the contact management database. The Salesperson will also be expected to attend key industry conferences and participate in client meetings, as appropriate.
Location: New York

Responsibilities

• Develop new relationships with RIA's/Bank Trust departments throughout Eastern Regions
• Proactively contact prospects through cold calls, product roll-outs and e-marketing
• Qualify potential prospects
• Assist in servicing key relationships
• Coordinate client communications
• Create and organize quarterly mailing
• Develop and implement marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Partner with legal, operations and product management

Skills Required:
Skills Required
• Approximately 7 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
• Knowledge of financial markets
• Quantitative and financial analysis skills a plus
• Highly motivated individual - takes initiative and task oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Creative talent to develop and implement sales idea
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Proven track record of meeting rapid-pace, demanding client needs
• Skill to effectively prioritize and make the appropriate trade-offs as needed
• Series 7 licenses required (MSIM will sponsor candidate's licensing requirements, as necessary)
