Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join the Global Biotechnology research team in New York. As a Senior Research Associate, you will build expertise in the life sciences sector as well as learn the most rigorous level of fundamental company and financial analysis. You will contribute to our written product, build complex financial models, and interact with company managements as well as sales, trading, and institutional clients. Our industry teams are typically only two or three professionals in number, and you will have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution. We make a strong commitment to Associate development, and give you opportunities to rapidly gain visibility and incremental responsibility. We sponsor participation in the CFA program. Job Qualifications
Our Biotechnology Senior Research Associates typically have advanced scientific or medical degrees, preferably combined with MBAs or finance qualifications such as the CFA or CPA. We look for stellar intellectual and academic credentials, including honors and awards, and test scores and grades in the 90th percentile and above. Degrees of particular interest combine rigorous quantitative analysis (statistical analysis, forecasting, modeling) with broad exposure to healthcare markets and diseases. We look for candidates who combine excellent analytical and modeling skills, outstanding verbal and written communication, intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level.
Prior experience should be several years in the life sciences sector (specifically Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals or Medical Devices) in a consulting, research or commercial capacity. The ideal candidate will be a consummate team player who seeks a highly rigorous and challenging environment for his/her career development.
