Job Description
Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and supports the daily functions of the GTS Payment Operations within Business Services Operations. This includes managing the daily tactical relationship with our Group Operations India (GOI) partners. Operations include Global Wire Transfer, Foreign Exchange Ops & Cash Management Operations, which results in a daily average of approximately 1.5 million transactions totaling $10 billion. The position requires strong leadership and managerial skills, a customer focused approach, excellent communications, problem solving capabilities, relationship building, acute risk awareness and analytical skills.
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* The daily operations of the East Providence Payment Operations and senior leadership oversight of all on and off shore processing centers operating 7x24, and directing staff of approximately 60 FTE
* The daily processing and settlement of all electronic payment applications.
* Assuring accurate and timely processing of payment transactions as well as compliance with all regulatory obligations, internal controls, operational budget and scorecard and key measurement reporting.
* Ensuring effective policies and procedures
* Identifying opportunities to automate and increase straight-through processing and improve risk controls.
* Act as major stakeholder in any project that impacts the systems or customers of Payment Operations
* Developing staff by encouraging learning, providing honest feedback and recognizing accomplishments
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree preferred or 10 years of related work experience.
Preferably, experience in Payment Operations
Record of managing multiple work streams in a fast paced, high risk, customer focused operation.
Demonstrated staff management capabilities such as inspiring others, communicating clearly and effectively, building trust and understanding, empowering others & developing people
Record of building relationships with business partners that can be leveraged to improve the business, surmount obstacles and create opportunities
Strong ability to gather information, prioritize actions, make decisions and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency of processes.
Strong knowledge of operational risk management principles and practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively communicate to senior management
Solid Excel and Powerpoint skills
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) a plus
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
