Job Description

Description This role will be responsible for developing and implementing technology solutions in support of business initiatives related to Store POS functions (such as Point of Sale, Credit Processing, Inventory Management). Acts as a key resource in ensuring maximum benefit of IS to the business. Provides the business with technical solutions to meet their objectives. Responsible for the design, development, and to assume lead analyst role when architecting technical solutions, and assist in creating comprehensive test plans and execution of the testing efforts. Responsible for overall quality of POS deliverables, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Assists manager in partnering with senior management to opportunities for utilizing IS to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Must possess knowledge in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques. Management Responsibility: • This position reports to the Manager of IS Applications and Client Systems Qualifications Education: • Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical/business experience required. • Concentration in Computer Science preferred. Professional Skills: • Overall at least 5 years of IS/IT/POS experience. • Prior experience working in ITO environment and with offshore/onshore model is preferable • Should have experience developing for POS Systems. (Experience with CRS / Encore POS a plus) • Should have ability to build relationships and motivate and influence others (in both Business & IS community). • Ability to work with collaboratively with other IS resources and with various levels of the client community • Overall solid Programming/Technical background in Point of Sale applications. • Proficient in test methodologies/quality assurance techniques and project management methodologies. • Ability to independently drive a section of a project or a specific module including identifying tasks, milestones and obstacles. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Ability to efficiently switch gears as the business requirements dictate. • Experience in Retail environment If interested, please send your resume to Thanks!
