Overview Fifth and Pacific Companies, Inc. is a multi-national company that designs and markets a portfolio of retail-based, premium, global lifestyle brands including Juicy Couture, kate spade, and Lucky Brand. In addition, the Adelington Design Group, a private brand jewelry design and development group, markets brands through department stores and serves jcpenney via exclusive supplier agreements for the Liz Claiborne and Monet jewelry lines and Kohl's via an exclusive supplier agreement for Dana Buchman jewelry. The Company also has licenses for the Liz Claiborne New York brand, available at QVC and Lizwear, which is distributed through the club store channel. Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. maintains an 18.75% stake in Mexx, a European and Canadian apparel and accessories retail-based brand. The JDA team is responsible for supporting the JDA system suite for the US Retail divisions and select international channels. Current systems include Advanced Allocation, Enterprise Planning, and Size Scaling. This includes owning the functional and understanding the technical aspect of the JDA System suite as well as end user and production support. This position will contribute to the strategic development of the Allocation/Planning process and will partner with the IS/IT organization during the adoption of any future implementations Responsibilities Provide functional and technical expertise and partner with key external vendor in order to resolve issues. Ensure that Allocation/Planning system interacts effectively with other related systems. Create and maintain need calculations within JDA Allocation and support teams with features and functions of new system. Actively participate in the development, implementation and functional support of additional projects and systems designed to build the retail capabilities of the brands. Act as a Functional/Technical administrator for all our JDA Suite Products ( Advance Allocation , Enterprise Planning and Size Scaling ) Act as a liaison between the Allocation/Planning Teams within each brand and the technical experts within the IT organization. As a member of the project team charged with increasing retail capabilities, this role includes: Documentation of new business processes Test script development, execution and tracking Creation of reporting required to support the allocation processes Additional ad hoc activities necessary to support user community and ensure adoption of system and new processes Partnership with cross functional retail teams IS / IT, Help Desk and JDA support. Includes user community on East and West coasts. Qualifications: Bachelor degree; advanced degree a plus. Minimum 2-3 years Allocation/Planning experience; 6 or more years of total work experience Demonstrated experience as follows: Understanding of JDA- Enterprise Planning Architecture Understanding of front end, midtier and file server and how they interrelate with each other Ability to trouble shoot issues in front end, midtier or file server Ability to trouble shoot batch job failures Experience with JDA backend(Allocation database, EP Database and Size Scaling database) Good understanding of JDA database schemas, tables and their relationships Ability to run SQL queries against the backend databases to trouble shoot Ability to run reports against the backend database to identify any data integrity issues Experience in Unix Interpret error logs in unix Ability to trouble shoot errors in unix Ability to run scripts in unix for fixing production data issues. Experience with JDA workbench is a plus Collaborating cross functionally to implement new systems and tools in a multi-brand, multi-channel environment Presenting and recommending strategies to the business users and IS/IT organization Experience with JDA products including Advanced Allocation, Arthur, or Enterprise Planning Influencing and communicating at a variety of associate and management levels Extremely strong follow up skills and issues tracking / follow up experience Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presenting complex material in an organized and compelling manner Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications and a thorough understanding of business intelligence tools.
