Position Purpose Coordinates with Patient Care Services the design, implementation, functionality and evaluation of integrated Clinical Information Systems that support and enhance clinical practice, administrative and management needs and patient outcomes. Position Duties Functions as liaison and applications advisor in analysis and evaluation of user needs. Serves as the primary resource for assisting the end users in system support. Identifies and documents user software problemsissues and coordinates possible resolution. Provides trouble shooting, error resolution and user support within an efficient and timely manner. Seeks advice of applications specialist and Senior specialist on major issues. Maximizes system functionality and data retrieval in conjunction with user application to enhance patient care, work redesign and quality improvement opportunities. Participates in User Group meetings. Demonstrates a positive and service minded attitude in solving problems. Works with clinical user, vendors and other health care organizations to remain knowledgeable of emerging technology. Participates in the implementation of system updates and releases with management, systems personnel, end users and vendors. Plans and coordinates system testing efforts. Regularly updates internal and external department tracking systems and provides regular updates to management regarding problem resolution. Provides writtenverbal status reports to project managerscoordinators (i.e., Applications Specialists, Lead Specialists andor Senior Management. Assists with the user training programs to educate all clinicians on system applications. Assists with the development of manual and user training programs to educate all clinicians on system applications Education Required Associates Degree in a field related to the position duties. Education Preferred Bachelors Degree to include but not be limited to- Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Systems, Information management, Business Administration,Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Hospital I.S. Systems. LicenseCertification Preferred IE, RN, RRT, CRT, RPH, or Epic Software certification. Experience Required A Combination of Information Systems and Clinical Systems Analysis preferred. Experience Preferred 4 - 6 years healthhare information systems or clinical experience preferred. 2 -4 years -computer applications analysis desired.
