The Application Analyst utilizes hisher knowledge of the client's clinical or business requirements, application capabilities, and hisher technical skills to implement and support applications. The Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of new applications, upgrades, and modifications to existing systems. The Application Analyst is also responsible for the application configuration, go-live support, and on-going client support. Heshe works on multiple projects concurrently. The Application Analyst provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization's mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care. The Systems Analyst will provide technological consultation and assistance to users of ancillary clinical information systems (OR, Anesthesia, Radiation Oncology, Obstetrics, etc.) including - Analysis of user needs and requirements - Application installation and testing - Application problem resolution - Troubleshooting clinical equipmentapplicationnetworkcommunicationusage issues - User training - Report Writing - Database and system maintenance - Writing user documentation. Interface between the departmental usersclients and the various divisions of MIS Provide day-to-day operational support for ancillary clinical Systems for several departments Write report specifications and code reports Design and develop database views and write data extract queries Perform database maintenance and optimization activities Triage networkworkstationhardware related issues Triage physiological monitorsanesthesia machinesventsinfusion pumps and other physiologic devices connectivity data transfer issues Coordinate modifications to multiple applications Provide advanced application troubleshooting support Write specifications, liaise between vendors and interface engine team to develop, modify and test interfaces Write test plans and coordinate user and internal testing Resolve and re-test identified errors and problems Conduct training sessions for users Assist with workflow redesign and procedural changes Assist with devising and documenting system designs Recommend improvements and increase efficiency of the IT systems and users Assist with coordination of vendor activities including hardware and software installation Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces and other system modifications Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis Travel throughout all facilities within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and other Emerging Health IT clients, as needed Perform other related duties. LI-KK1 LI-APPLY Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support Application testing Related clinical or business experience Strong SQL query and Report Services, and Crystal Report Writing skills Experience with Clinical Information systems and clinical departments' workflows including OR, Anesthesiology, Nursing, etc. Prior experience with Picis CareSuite or other Perioperative systems. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong technical skills including multiple operating systems, modalities and clinical systems. Understanding of HL7, IHE and other health related standards. Database maintenance optimization knowledge. User training experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers and management. Ability to analyze data and make recommendations. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work well in a team environment. Excellent follow up skills. Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment. Must be able to multi-task effectively. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Medical technologist IT background a plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics or a related field or equivalent experience.
