The Sr. Solution Engineer is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for our Business Development Managers and Client Account Managers. The SE must be knowledgeable about network architect, Cisco Products and gain knowledge of Ventus manufactured wireless 4G LTE Network Routers supporting both fixed line and 4 G LTE Wireless WANs. The position will encompass all aspects of managing the technical sales with the customer and aligning proposed solutions with the technical capabilities of the company to help drive revenue. You will be responsible for the technical relationship through the sales cycle, and must understand customer requirements, lead the solution design, and participate in proposal responses. The duties of the SE are wide-ranging, including presentation of technologies, product demonstrations, answering technical questions, and customer requirements, collaborating with Engineering staff, and responding to RFPs when required. Essential Functions Pre-sales design and implementation expertise in complex 4 G LTE Wireless and Fixed Line WAN infrastructure environments Field technical questions from prospects and clients Determine client requirements and provide Network designs for complex managed services for financial transactions, video streaming and corporate traffic including VoIP Provide consultative services based on prospectrsquos requirements and available Ventus Technologies cellular routers and Video Surveillance Packages Representrsquos technical capabilities to prospective customers and existing customer base, and influence customer expectations according to product and management capabilities and constraints Develop and grow technical knowledge base on the entire network infrastructure ecosystem Provide post-sale support to installation personnel as needed to clarify service expectations including providing diagrams, verbal explanation, and written documentation Present technical training to new and existing Business Development Managers, Sales and Sales Support personnel Meet and exceed management targets for number of customer contacts, number and complexity of sales opportunities supported, and training completed Translate prospective customer requirements into recommendations for new or enhanced products and features Ensure compliance with all Policies and Procedures Skills Required Experience performing needs assessments, and making recommendations based on the discovered needs. Delivers complex network designs and solutions based on established processes and procedures and products. Knowledge and experience in design of complex WAN, including VRFs, distributed, high availability server-based network computing infrastructures. Storage network experience is desirable. Proven experience in architecting complex networks within enterprise accounts or accounts with mission-critical IT requirements. Creates Record of Change docs and design for implementation, to configure network hardwaresoftware-based on predefined templates Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate strong problem solving skills. Capability to schedule time with flexibility to handle varying workload, and still meet tight deadlines. Customer and service oriented, strong communication customer relations skills Qualifications BA BS required technical degree preferred, advanced degree a plus Previous experience in a Pre-Sales role in an Enterprise Sales environment. Strong understanding of network routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, etc. and transport provisioning (private IP, MPLS) VoIP, IPVPN, IP Telephony, and IP PBX, FRATM, IPL, ISP, DL, ISDN, etc. Able to adhere to established processes and procedures Working knowledge on TCPIP, including QoS, bandwidth utilization, latency, jitter, and packet loss Knowledge in Avaya and Cisco voice technologiesDC Nexus switches Working knowledge on TCPIP, including QoS, bandwidth utilization, latency, jitter, and packet loss. Experience designing complex network solutions to mission-critical accounts, preferably in the Financial, Retail, Media Entertainment and Medical vertical space. Knowledge and at least 5 years experience in configuration and support of Linux operating systems (ideally both) including remote management. Network Industry Certification preferred (CCNA,CCIE).
